Tendring consists of a myriad of small employers that makes effective employer engagement a challenge.  However to deliver a quality education that meets the needs of employers that engagement is vital and will become even more significant with the introduction of Specialised Diplomas.  An Employer Engagement Coordinator has therefore been appointed with the following responsibilities

• Increase the quality and breadth of employer engagement across the 14-19 curriculum
• Build and extend business best practice
• Secure Business Champions
• Provide a single point of contact for schools, colleges and local employers
• Generate and maintain a co-ordinated database of educational needs and employer opportunities and involvement
• Explore and create opportunities for work placements for teaching staff
