To avoid duplication the APG Board has merged with the 14-19 Board of Coast-ed.

Coast-ed is a charitable trust comprising the same secondary schools as in the APG together with many of their partner primary schools.

Following a Tendring 14-19 Review carried out on behalf of the APG current priorities for the Board include

• To increase Level 3 provision based at the College at Clacton (Colchester Institute campuses in Clacton)
• Collaboration to ensure an effective Foundation Learning Tier
• Further collaboration at post 16 in both vocational and non-vocational provision
